Having your mind work for you and not against you gives you control over your destiny. If you aren’t getting what you want, it could just be simply the fact that your brain isn’t understanding exactly what it is your trying to tell it, so here are 4 tips to help you understand how our brain works so you can effectivley direct your thoughts to serve you better.

Here are 4 simple things to understand about our mind so you can communicate with it better.
1. Our mind wants us to have what we want.
Our subconscious mind cannot differentiate between good and bad so when we talk to ourselves, or what we believe, our mind works and affects our behavior in a way to make it happen. Have you ever said to yourself, “I really don’t want to lose my bank card today” and you keep focusing on what it will be like to lose your bank card. I remember I must have thought to myself 3 times in one day, I really hope I don’t lose my purse. Then the same day I lost it. Because realistically, why would we focus on the things we don’t want? This is why the subconscious mind doesn’t know, it thinks what you are talking about you want and it does everything it can to make it happen. To communicate effectively, focus on what you want and become more aware of the language and use empowering language to direct your thoughts and feelings. EG “I was worried I would lose my purse, but there is no need to be, I can never lose anything that is mine and I fully trust and have faith in myself that I can have responsibility over my things.”
2. Our minds work in Pictures
We can re-structure our thinking by using images, as our minds work in pictures, this is the best way to communicate with things we want to attract it into our life, by using our mind to think of the result of the mental picture and association. See yourself different, visualize yourself doing what it is you want. See it in your mind so clear and believe.
3. Know You have the power to change your beliefs
Whatever you think or to believe about a situation can be true, which gives you the power to change any result you want. Mohammad Ali said he claimed he was the greatest before he EVEN KNEW he was, then he did become the greatest. It all starts with a choice, decide and commit to developing the belief in yourself, it can be worked on like a muscle.
4. Convince Your Own Mind
Because your mind wants you to feel good and comfortable, if you hesitate or complain about having to do something like, eating healthy or going somewhere, your mind will literally convince you not to. But if you can convince your mind by saying, Ok, I would love to stay in bed, but actually I’m going to feel so good after I know I have done my work out which means I’m going to feel so good in my clothes and confident. Focus on the end result to convince your mind rather than the small steps to get there and use positive language and words that make you feel good!
